Her favourite season was autumn and she would set out to study nature out of doors making many sketches. During the cold winter months she would use these in her studio as to create forest and river landscapes. She chose to show her work at the so-called exhibitions of Living Masters, which meant her work was seen almost annually by the general public. Bilders-Van Bosse also sold her paintings through the renowned art dealer Goupil. In 1880 she married Johannes Warnardus Bilders, and the couple moved from The Hague to Oosterbeek.
