After hours: Ed van der Elsken
An evening of art, talks, workshops and meet-ups
During After Hours you discover the Rijksmuseum after closing time. The upcoming edition revolves around the work of Ed van der Elsken. We bring his work and creative process to life with an inspiring speaker, creative workshops, music and more.
IN CONVERSATION WITH PHOTOGRAPHER MARWAN MAGROUN
We welcome Marwan Magroun (Rotterdam, 1985) as our guest speaker. Marwan is a Dutch-Tunisian photographer and filmmaker. Drawing on his bicultural background, he offers a unique perspective on social issues, reflected throughout his photography and projects. He has worked as a full-time photographer since 2017 and has been the Photographer of the Netherlands since 2022. During two sessions, he will share his perspective on photography and the work of Ed van der Elsken.
MUSIC BY ELIAS MAZIAN
DJ, singer-songwriter, and Private Hearts radio host dives into the world of Dutch-language music for this edition of After Hours. In a three-hour set, he takes you on a journey through songs that tell stories and speak with honesty. Just as Ed van der Elsken did with his camera.
